When is Build Day?

Where is the build location?

Remember, to volunteer on Build Day, you must be signed up.

Columbus

The Build Day is at the Barack Community Center

Cleveland

Sadly, we have lost our sponsor and will not be building in Cleveland this year.

What are the shift times?

Shift 1: 7:30 am - 10:30 am

Shift 2: 11:30 am - 2:30 pm

Shift 3: 3:30-5:30 pm

Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled shift time. For safety reasons, please sign in at the front desk and wait until you and/or your group are called. At that time, we will lead you to your designated spot.

On Build Day, can I bring extra people to help out?

Although we appreciate the thought, we are limited in space and volunteers. If you bring extra people, you will be taking slots away from others who have signed up. Please do not bring any extra volunteers.

What if I sent an empty form?

During our fast and furious Volunteer Signup process, empty forms were considered a "glitch" and omitted.

My plans have changed and I can't help this year.

That's ok, sometimes plans change! Please contact us so we may add people from our waitlist.

How can I help between now and then?

We LOVE our volunteers. 100% of the money we receive from donations goes back to the charity. This means we need help raising money to build Wagons Ho Ho Ho. Consider donating or helping us raise funds through social media.

We need gift cards to support our efforts, especially those from Kroger, Giant Eagle, Meijer, Visa/Mastercard, and Build Day food to keep our volunteers nourished! If you can help, contact Kennedy here.

We also need volunteers to help us with PR, Outreach, and event space setup two days before Build Day. Trainers, grocery pickers and packers, and teams to help manage recycling during Build Day. Contact us for more info.
